Why you should enjoy hops!

If you haven’t found out by now, I am a big fan of craft beers.  I enjoy drinking all of the different types of beers stouts, IPAs, porters, and all of them in between.  The way I got started drinking these types of beers is the same as other peoples stories and that is that I had a friend introduce craft beers to me.  There are many different advantages to drinking craft beers over generic brand beers and I am going to discuss a few today.

First of course is the taste.  The flavor you get from a freshly brewed great tasting craft beer is different then that you can get from Miller Bud or Coors.  With all of the different types of craft beers and different companies creating these different brews people have the chance to try different flavors within there own preferred style.  Taste goes a long way with beer and drinking craft beer gives you, the consumer, the opportunity to enjoy your own taste.

Another amazing thing about drinking craft beer is that the people making the beer give you opportunities to tour the facilities and meet the people making the amazing tasteful drink that people, above 21, get to drink!  Yes there are tours available at the miller factory if you happen to be near it, but right now the average American lives 10 miles away from a craft beer brewery!  You can plan a trip with some friends or surprise your other half with an amazing beer tour that you meet and great the brewers and even can possibly drink a beer with them.

My favorite thing about craft beer is the fact that there are different beers put out for different seasons.  Every season offers another reason to drink a great beer.  The thing that many craft beer breweries do to taste the season is add the season to its beer.  Pumpkin spiced beers in the fall, fruit infused beers or a cold shandy in the summer, these things are done to perfection in the craft beer world.

Craft beer is a reason to stand out and have conversations about things you like.  Being and individual is what makes this country great, and craft beer is another way to enjoy that freedom.  Drink responsibly guys and have a Hoppy Day.
